Over the last few years countless photography contest have sprung up touting their ability to get you noticed and on the fast track to stardom. In reality however many of these contest are nothing more then a cash cow for whoever is hosting it. With the explosion in popularity that digital has brought to photography everyone thinks of themselves as a photographer and looking for their “big break”. For many the lure of winning a photography contest and seeing their image in print is more than they can pass up, but BEWARE! If you read the fine print associated with many of these contest you’ll notice a very prevalent practice taking place, the theft of your right to your own images.

The Photography 411 Podcast, It’s alive!
Well here we are, The Photography 411 Podcast day number one! It’s good to be up and running. The site is still getting it’s legs under it and working things out, give it some time to mature into a great place for all things photography.
I hope this will be a very informative and helpful endeavor to everyone interested in photography, from seasoned pros to those just falling in love with the medium and art that is photography.
The podcast will be about all things photography, industry news, new products, interviews, the creative process, travel, landscapes, portrait and weddings, Photoshop, a rant here and there maybe. What I guess I’m saying the shows will be about whatever I’m interested in at the time. But I’m totally open to hearing what you have to say too.
